Sharda Cropchem shares surge 67% on D-day

Crop protection chemical company Sharda Cropchem shares opened 66.67 per cent higher on its first day of listing on Tuesday.
The stock opened at Rs 260 in its debut trade, Rs 104 higher than its initial public offer (IPO) price on BSE.
Mumbai-based Sharda Cropchem had issued shares at Rs 156 a piece in its IPO which was subscribed by 60 times. The company raised around Rs 352 crore through the issue of 22.6 million equity shares.
Sharda Cropchem is a crop protection chemical company engaged in the marketing and distribution of a wide range of formulations and generic active ingredients globally. It is also involved in order based procurement and supply of belts, general chemicals, dyes and dye intermediates.
The public issue, which was opened for subscription during September 5-9, was oversubscribed 60 times.
