Viom eying overseas IPO route to raise funds: Media

According to a report by Reuters, Indian phone tower company, Viom Networks Ltd, is eying overseas listing via an initial public offering (IPO) or a stake sale to raise funds up to USD 350 million. Viom Networks Limited is a joint venture between Tata Teleservices and Quippo, a SREI Group enterprise. The report said that Malaysia’s Axiata Group Bhd, US-headquartered tower operator American Tower Corp could be among the possible bidders for the stake sale in Viom Networks Limited. Viom is targeting a listing on either the New York Stock Exchange or the London Stock Exchange, the report said. Tata Teleservices is the majority stakeholder in Viom Networks Ltd, with a stake of 54 per cent while infrastructure financing company SREI Group holds nearly 18 per cent.
