Investar Holding Corporation announced the closing of its initial public offering of common stock. Investar sold a total of 2,875,000 shares in the public offering. The common stock is listed on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol "ISTR" and began trading on July 1, 2014. The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 431,250 shares from Investar at the initial public offering price less the underwriting discount. Sandler O'Neill & Partners L.P. served as lead book-running manager for the offering and Sterne, Agee and Leach, Inc. served as a co-lead manager.
